Neon Nail Polish

Remember my neon yellow nails? Courtesy of American Apparel. Right now I'm wearing the neon pink polish. I have a feeling you'll be seeing me in both colors a lot this summer.

I have a ridiculous obsession with nail polish. So much so that I plan my nail colors around outfits. You can't even imagine my collection of colors. If I know I'm going out of town for a while I try to pick a color for the entire stay that coordinates with most (or all) of my looks. OCD perhaps? In many ways I'm a little bit like MONK (detective TV series) from USA Network. Everything in its place, in order. You should see the lists I make when packing. I even create little boxes to check things off in. ;)

Next STOP? LA here I come (again) only for 48 hrs which means all work and no play for this girl. I'm extremely excited to play dress up, even though it's "work" it's still a lot of fun to me!

Palazzo Pants

I remember when I first got these pants. My grandmother used to wear them all of the time for long walks on the beach. One day I was browsing through an old copy of Vogue that was sitting just under the glass of her coffee table. Lauren Hutton in palazzo pants literally jumped off the page at me. I showed her and she told me about her pants. Since then, these pants have become a great summer go-to and very fun to get dressed up in. They weigh less than a postcard. My Mom says a lot of my love for Fashion comes from my grandmother who adores dressing up and shopping for hours. To this day she still dresses up, even for the grocery store. On the other hand, my Mom walked all of Disney World in heels when I was just a toddler. You can see some photos here. ;)

Fashion is an extension of who I am. It makes me happy. What else can I say?

Whenever I meet someone new, they always ask me if I'm Italian for some reason? I'm not. In fact my family roots are deeply cemented in Spain, France and Cuba. And, I was born in Miami, Florida. However, I adore the Italian language, Italian music and Italian food. When I pulled on this sheath of a dress I felt romantic and a tiny bit Italian. Didn't hurt that Alex and I were celebrating some great news at an Italian restaurant I suppose...

Whenever I wear dresses, I feel like a princess. I've always been fond of the Disney princesses (and for a day) I felt like Belle.

P.S. To any of you using Netflix Instantly Online.. am I the only one bothered by their pulling shows and movies off at random? I was really getting into a TV program only to find out it will be removed on Friday. I still have two more seasons left to go =(

When I received a surprise parcel from Kain Label you can imagine my excitement. After following their collections for the last few years, it was pretty flattering to find out they had been following my blog. With the temperatures rising, I opted to pair this sleeveless top with my bright green mini-skirt and neutral Moschino wedges for a meeting. Whenever Alex is around, I like to ask him what he thinks of my outfits. He said this was one of his favorites. But he always says that... boys. ;)

Yellow Leather Satchel

The Leather Satchel Co. have been making these bags since the 1960's. My favorite part about them is how the color pops against any outfit. And, the adorable monogrammed initials. After playing with a variety of bags from an array of similar designers, I have found this one by the Leather Satchel Co. to be the softest and most functional in design. Find them on Twitter. Today is a Gift

I'm so in love with my new double knot dress from NASTY GAL. The color and cut of this dress are total perfection. I have a similar maxi dress in blue by Shakuhachi that is a more casual style, so this will be great for festivals and dancing. I'm leaving for Vegas in the morning for a web development conference with my boyfriend, Adrian, and this dress is definitely going with us!

Lipstick Wars: Revlon vs Cover Girl

Cover Girl in Fairy Tale and Revlon in Siren

I found the most perfect color a few months ago. Cover Girl's Lip Perfection Lipstick in Fairy Tale (a really flattering peachy-pink) and it stays on for hours without ever drying your lips. Just last week I went on a hunt for Orange lipstick. Finally found it by way of Revlon in Siren. Just as moisturizing and this particular shade of orange reminds me of Fendi S/S 11. Win, win!!

Daughter of the Revolution

So about two years ago, I went on this crazy mission to find this skirt as I saw it online and just had to have it. I drove to Venice Beach from San Diego and dropped a nice chunk of cash on it at Planet Blue. It was too long so I had it taken up about two inches. After all that, you'd think I would be rocking the hell out of this skirt, right? Very wrong. Last night, I found it under a pile of denim that I haven't worn for about... two years. This skirt is so amazing, and I'm not quite sure how I forgot about it. We're all guilty of this, right? Or it is just me?
