With the final pages of Summer dwindling down, I am trying my very best to grasp onto the last bits of turquoise, neon and color blocking. What will you miss the most about Summer? And for those of you just starting Summer, what are you most excited about this season?

In two days I'm off to Boston to continue filming my secret Project. I can't say anything until 2012. And then it's to New York Fashion Week for me. I can't wait. I hope to see some of you around. Come say hi, don't be shy! :)

What do these things have in common? You must be asking yourselves that right now. Well, I just saw the final installment of the Harry Potter series today. I dressed up in exuberantly bright colors (to counteract my sadness over this finally coming to an end.) I cry at commercials, mind you. I came deftly prepared, with tissues and dark sunglasses. The latter, especially, came in handy once exiting the theatre. No one was the wiser.

So, here I am, color blocking once again. I tend to keep a small percentage of my look neutral, when color blocking. [See shoes.] Otherwise, it's an explosion of bright color, which I blissfully wore to see the film in. As for the soda, I like to drink caffeine to stay alert and on top of every word. Plus, it's also fun collecting glass Coca Cola bottles.

I loved the movie. And find that it ended exactly the way it needed to. And, closing with John Williams's infamous theme no less.If you haven't seen it yet.. go, go, go! It might be your last chance to catch this epic magic on screen... My favorite character this time around? Neville Longbottom.

When I was in Junior High, I would wear my Converse to death. I used to play basketball in my lo-top green pair and wear my hi-top black pair to class. I still remember when the boy who sat next to me in Math class (my at-the-time major crush, Jason) told me my shoes were cool. Can you imagine my smile? How is it that a pair of shoes invented in the early 1900's still carry such cool factor today? Since revisiting my black pair recently, I had to plunge for the white as well.

In other obsessions, as my shirt says, "There's more to life than books you know. But not much more." I've been spending the rainy summer afternoons reading up a storm! What are you reading?

I've obviously been on a color block kick this season. There's something so mood enhancing about wearing brights. It's always fun to mix and match some color into a more neutral foundation. Today I played a little bit of good cop and bad cop with my look. The brights, my smile and the bag were all good cop. The sunglasses were all bad cop... in a good way, of course. I feel tough in aviator style sunnies. ;) What do you think of today's look?

And, stay tuned... because tomorrow I have a special surprise for you! ;)

Jeffrey Campbell Shy Town Wedges

Jeffrey Campbell Shy Town Suede Wedges, Color blocking Fashion, Shoes
JEFFREY CAMPBELL Shy Town

These suede wrapped, color blocked sandals are the best. An exclusive from Jeffrey Campbell. I'm always after platforms and wedges, this pair has both. The velcro ankle wrap adds femininity and flair to just about any outfit. CAN YOU GUESS how I wore these?

P.S. I can't decide between Perforated nude wedges or Pour la Victoire nude high heels which would you pick?

Color Blocking 101 I'm a huge fan of the Beatles' Strawberry Fields Forever as much as the fruit itself. Jil Sander really grabbed the color blocking bull by the horns and drew me in last season. I love the idea of mixing different, bright shades together. I tie it all together with basic black. In other News, I'm working on a bunch of new, VERY EXCITING, projects and I can't wait to share them with you in a few weeks!!!

What's your favorite? The skirt or the sweater?
