LOFT Style Studio after party! - Ra Ra Riot / Alexa Chung

LOFT unveils its Fall collection at the Style Studio launch after party in The Bowery Hotel.
The party was as tasteful and charming as the Hotel it was hosted in.

An exclusive collaboration styled by: Tina Chai, Kate Young, Joanne Blades and Alia Ahmed-Yahia. These four fashionable women worked with the LOFT fall collection to create effortless looks from 10 chic Fall essentials.

The adorable Gilmore girl, Alexis Bledel, and I chatted a bit about our shared Birthdays. She playfully told me how "we are only 1 year and 1 day apart" in age.* Hers September 16 and mine September 17.

Waiting for the Band.

Alexa Chung! What a doll. I told her how much I adore and am inspired by her effortless sense of style. She complimented me back, "You're hair is so lovely. I love your braid." I, of course, beamed.

Alexa Chung was brilliant in the DJ booth. Loved her spin on Jefferson Airplane's Somebody to Love.

The Lucky Alpha Bloggers. With Vyque, Beth and Valerie. I was glad to be able to meet up again with them at the after party.

Party in full swing. The champagne and hors d'oeuvres were delicious.

Pretty lighting.

Paparazzi! Mena Suvari, Socialite Kate Schelter and Maggie Gyllenhaal also attended.

Ra Ra Riot performed! I have a few clips I may upload for you guys later on. My favorite songs were Winter '05 and Can You Tell.

Beet and pistachio salad at Gemma.

Dining.

Was Mark The Cobrasnake Hunter staying on our same floor?

LOFT goodies.

Ray's Pizza.

All in all a tremendously fun and enlightening experience was had. Thank you Lucky magazine and Ann Taylor LOFT for having me.

Floating on the Clouds, if I could I'd never come back down

Recently digging editorials and style by: Anja Rubik, Alexa Chung, Amanda Norgaard, Behati Prinsloo, Erin Wasson, Hana Soukupova, Kate Moss, Frida Gustavsson, Natalia Vodianova and Sarah Jessica Parker. Lately loving: dark eyeliner, feathers in my hair, blood red lips, pink, black and teal, red nails, Prada SS 2010, stripes, crowns, and yes, those pink Miu Miu shoes!

Urban Legend

I couldn't wait to wear (and break in) my new leather motorcycle jacket. It has the perfect wrinkled wet look. I've spent months scouring and hunting for just the right one. The moment I saw it- visions of Natasha Poly, Alexander Wang and Taylor Momsen sprang to mind. My favorite part was pairing it with my Topshop denim shirt that both Alexa Chung and Dree Hemingway have worn before; both girls showing how denim can be worn in so many comfortable but still cool ways, this is why I love denim and call it a staple piece of my vast wardrobe. Riding boots, a Wang braid, patterned tights and the Coach Sabrina satchel completed my look.

Ps. Does anyone have a recipe for Truffled fries!?!?! <3

The Countdown

Collaging; it's been a while, Oui? OK, so here you go. I tried my very best to compile my latest obsessions du jour into muse board collage format for you guys. Alexa Chung is mighty high on the list; I find her adorable, just oodles and oodles of cuteness. She totally reminds me of Ramona Quimby from the Beverly Clearly book series; all legs and cute wit. Devon Aoki started my hot as flames model crush in The Fast and The Furious with her hot pink ultra cool car race scenes; this editorial by Camilla Akrans is high in my list of faves. Hot pink is also top knotch with me lately. And Hanky Panky's sexy little bright under things had me at hello. Other A-listers? Isabel Lucas, coincidentally pretty in pink; Carmen Kass in cool boots at the beach; red bags; Acne and their platformed, mirrored and extremely ingenious wedges; frilly bows; Hana Soukupova in a Carrie Bradshaw tutu; Natalia Vodianova channeling Alice in Wonderland; Ali Stephens; Mink Pink; long hair; Alexander Wang, and lastly, pretty things.
